Exibe partes superiores castanhas com pintas brancas e partes inferiores esbranqui\u00e7adas, fortemente listradas de castanho. A cabe\u00e7a \u00e9 grande e arredondada, sem \u201corelhas\u201d. A cauda \u00e9 curta, castanho-escura com barras esbranqui\u00e7adas e as patas s\u00e3o compridas relativamente ao corpo. O bico \u00e9 amarelo-esverdeado e as garras s\u00e3o acastanhadas, apresentando estas a ponta mais escura. A f\u00eamea \u00e9, em m\u00e9dia, mais pesada que o macho.<\/p><p><em><span style=\"color: #b5b3b0;\">The little owl is a small, compact nocturnal raptor with variable plumage, typically brown with white spots. It has brown upperparts with white speckles and white underparts, strongly streaked with brown. The head is large and rounded, without &#8220;ear tufts.&#8221; The tail is short, dark brown with whitish bars, and the legs are relatively long compared to the body. The beak is yellowish-green, and the claws are brown, with darker tips. Foram entregues pelo CERVAS ao Parque Ecol\u00f3gico de Gouveia para viverem at\u00e9 ao final da sua vida sem necessidade de ca\u00e7ar ou de se protegerem de predadores, servindo para a educa\u00e7\u00e3o e consciencializa\u00e7\u00e3o ambiental.<\/p><p><em><span style=\"color: #b5b3b0;\">This bird was considered unfit to live in the wild, due to factors related to human activity. They were delivered by CERVAS to the Gouveia Ecological Park to live until the end of their lives without the need to hunt or protect themselves from predators, serving for education and environmental
